Vincent Ready

On March 3, 2026, CineBear Camera & Expendables in Valencia, CA was contacted by an individual posing as "Vincent Ready" of Sow Good Films, a purported Seattle-based production company. He inquired about renting an ARRI Alexa Mini camera package and three ZEISS CP.3 prime lenses for a weekend shoot in Hollywood. The suspect provided a signed rental contract, a government-issued ID, a credit card payment, and what appeared to be a valid Certificate of Insurance naming CineBear as Loss Payee. Based on these documents, CineBear released the equipment on March 6, 2026. The pickup was conducted in person by the suspect's assistant, Luis Lara, who signed the rental contract. The equipment was due back March 9. When it was not returned, CineBear attempted to contact Vincent Ready, who initially requested an extension via email and then promised to return the gear that afternoon — before going completely silent. Luis Lara independently reached out to CineBear to report that Sow Good Films had stopped responding to him as well. Investigation revealed that the company address was false, and the Certificate of Insurance appears to have been fraudulently altered from a legitimate policy belonging to an unrelated Las Vegas entity. The total replacement value of the stolen equipment is $65,455. A police report has been filed with the Santa Clarita / Valencia Sheriff's Department. An insurance claim is being pursued under CineBear's Fireman's Fund policy (rented equipment coverage up to $50,000).
